One thing is certain, volunteering today is no longer the same as it was just decades ago. The modern volunteer has evolved, just as the modern employee and business owner have.

If you’re reading this, chances are that at least one electronic device with access to the internet has nestled itself into your daily routine. You may use it for work, leisure, or both, yet it is pretty safe to say that an important part of the information you process every day originates from one of these devices.
We read our news, books, blog posts, and more on our smartphones and computers, which rarely if ever, leave our side. This means that it has become nearly impossible to remain oblivious to the threats faced by our planet today. Although most of us wouldn’t have it any other way, the constant influx of facts and news can cause great frustration, stress, and anxiety around the question of what to care about and what not.
